Blogging in the blogosphere, what is all this blogging good for?

It is said that bloggers are actually better adjusted to live healthier social lives than those who do not blog. But there are still the cases of those who blog are not well adjusted in society and blog to vent about their lives. Also many businesses say blogging is a good way for you future employer to learn more about who you are and your interests. In the working world when you apply for a job, it is likely that your future employer will look you up online to find more out about you and your accomplishments. Through having a blog you can control what they learn about you as well as showing them what you already know about that certain field you wish to enter. Creating a blog and then researching in a specific field that you are interested in shows your interest, but you also need to keep your blog focused. It is better to be visible than invisible.
Personally I feel that blogging is no longer keeping your private life private but showing the whole world, but having a blog that is focused on one topic that you are interested in and keep researching in and showing the results in the blog then that is fine, since it keeps your research organized. I think it is best explained here about blogging:

"blogging is a nice way of communicating, but it will never beat a good chit-chat over a glass of wine and good food. :)
Physical (real life) interaction is still the best. Humans are after all social animals that like to live in groups."
